Tredo Engineers provided structural engineering services for this fast-track design and construction of the six-story, mixed use structure at 5195 Main Street in Williamsville.
The building contains 120 Hilton-brand Hotel rooms; 33 apartments and six penthouse suites known as the Residences at The Mosey; a restaurant; and retail space. Owned and developed by the Ellicott Development Corporation, the residential units range from one- to three-bedrooms and vary in size from 1,000 SF to more than 2,000 SF, offering a variety of unique floor plans with clean modern lines and upgraded finishes.
The residential units have reserved on-site parking and a private elevator with a foyer on each floor. Suites located around the perimeter of the building offer a choice of multiple layouts, featuring natural daylighting and access to individual balconies.
Residents can take advantage of the hotel’s amenities including an indoor heated saltwater pool, fitness center, cleaning services, massage and spa services, valet, and concierge services. The on-site restaurant and lounge serve breakfast and dinner and room service for Mosey residents. The Mosey is a Class-A equipped building and currently the only high-end multi-unit residential space available in Williamsville.
The initial architectural design approved by the Town included six floors but limited the roof height reducing the number of available structural systems. The mixed-use nature of the building, combined with structured parking, made GirderSlab®, a system which combines the advantages of structural steel and cast-in-place concrete, an ideal choice. By combining structural steel with hollow core precast plank, the floor-to-floor heights permitted six floors to fit inside a five-story envelope.
