Civil and Structural Engineering services on a wide range of projects on Medaille College’s campus for almost 3 decades. The original $3M Campus Center, designed by Stieglitz Stieglitz and Tries in 1992, included a gymnasium, second floor running track, fitness center, bookstore, and student office spaces. This facility has been expanded twice since then. In 2002, Cannon Design incorporated a $2M dining hall addition and then, in 2011, CJS Architects added a two-story, 21000-sf, $5.1M gymnasium/banquet space along with new locker rooms and an expanded, state-of the-art fitness center.
Both architects used TE for our familiarity with the building, the campus, and the administration. This familiarity has grown due to the number of other notable projects on campus TE has designed for the school including two-phases of student housing, the renovation and interconnection of several historic residences along Agassiz Circle into Administration offices in late 90’s, the renovation of a two-story high, fourth floor attic space in “Old Main” into a student lounge/café with a mezzanine seating area (2008), as well as myriad other smaller renovation, repair, reinforcement and maintenance projects including expansion to remote campuses throughout WNY.
Medaille College envisions itself as a leader in providing inspiration and opportunity for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community and Tredo Engineers is proud to have assisted Medaille in its growth towards that goal.
